The symbolism of water has a universal undertone of purity and fertility. Symbolically, it is often viewed as the source of life itself as we see evidence in countless creation myths in which life emerges from primordial waters.
Interestingly, we are all made of water, and so we can liken many of these myths and allegories to our own existence (the macrocosm mirroring the microcosm and vice versa).
Heavy textured oxidised silver pendant created from water castings. This one is approx 10mm wide & forms a small cup shape.
Width of water form is about 5mm to 10 mm
This ring is made using molten silver left over from making other items of jewellery which is melted down & poured directly into water to create textured organic shapes, each one difference from the last.
Where possible I use ‘eco’ silver which is 100% recycled silver
NOTE: Every ring is different because the process is free form.
